About Saroj Khanal
Saroj Khanal is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests lie at the intersection of infrastructure systems design and analysis, leveraging tools from operations research, economics, and computational and data sciences. He is passionate about solving problems at the interface of energy and the environment, particularly through the lens of energy policy, planning, and markets.
Prior to joining Johns Hopkins in 2022, Saroj worked as an Energy Market Advisory Consultant at ABB and Hitachi Energy, and as an Energy Modeling and Analysis Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2019) and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus in Nepal.
