About Joe Blochberger

Joe Blochberger is a PhD candidate in Civil and Systems Engineering (CaSE) and the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University, a Senior Professional Staff member at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL), and a recipient of the Gordon Croft Endowed Fellowship. He has over a decade of experience in engineering acoustics, sensor data analysis, and systems engineering, including contributions to government technical working groups. Joe is active in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), where he organizes sessions on artificial intelligence, machine learning, dynamics, and acoustics, and serves on multiple technical committees. He is a licensed professional engineer and peer reviewer for IEEE Sensors. His research focuses on system dynamics, agent-based modeling, and network analysis, with a strong interest in applying engineering methods to challenges in public health, medicine, and economics.
