About Boyu Yao
Boyu Yao is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil and Systems Engineering (CaSE) at Johns Hopkins University, affiliated with the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI), the Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-Free Society (EPICS) Center, and the Academic Center for Reliability and Resilience of Offshore Wind (ARROW). His research focuses on upstream and downstream risks and opportunities in the evolving power grid and energy system, with particular emphasis on supply chains, grid-supporting infrastructures, emerging large-scale loads such as AI, and the policy drivers shaping energy transitions.
